We will continue practicing writing/reading/interpreting numbers through 1 billion, place value, comparing and ordering whole numbers, and rounding. Homework will come home Mon-Thur. that corresponds with the daily lesson. Somedays it may be from the workbook, other days it may be a separate sheet (all dependent upon their understanding of the daily skill). Please continue to have your child practice their multiplication fast facts! As long as they improve by 1 every Friday...then that IS progress!! Please click on the above tabs for this week's math calendar as well as an outline of the current topic.
Science- This week we will continue focusing on temperature and how that relates to density and the make-up of cold versus hot water/air. Students will be able to understand that cold air is more dense than hot air. We will also beginning learning about the water cycle on a more complex level. Students will also continue to spiral back to previous concepts to maintain mastery! We will be adding more entries into our interactive science notebooks as a way to teach recording and study skills. These notebooks can be used on quizzes and tests.
