This Week's Announcements:
**Please remember if a student has make-up work or incomplete assignments that need to be completed, they may come in for lunch and/or recess to complete them. If not, it will need to be considered homework and completed at home to be turned in asap!
Math- This week we will continue Topic 12. This topic covers measurement units in both the customary and metric systems. Students will be expected to know what measurements belong in what system as well as equivalencies (ex: 3 feet = 1 yard). Homework will come home Mon.-Thur. that corresponds with the daily lesson. Somedays it may be from the workbook, other days it may be a separate sheet (all dependent upon their understanding of the daily skill). Please continue to have your child practice their multiplication fast facts! As long as they improve by 1 every Friday...then that IS progress!! Please click on the above tabs for this week's math calendar as well as an outline of the current topic.
Science- We will start the year off with the study of the Sun, Earth, and Moon Systems. Be on the look out for awesome experiments that cover the phases of the moon, tides, and shadows! As always, we will continue to add to our science notebook with each investigation. These notebooks can of course be used on quizzes and tests so accurate and detailed entries are expected! Students will also continue to spiral back to previous concepts to maintain mastery!
