**Second Quarter report card grades will be posted for viewing to Skyward on 1/11/18. The student's report card will contain a comment from one of their teachers under a particular subject area OR under the SEL portion. We look forward to watching the student's grow in Quarter 3!
Math- This week we will beginning Topic 9. This topic covers patterns and equations using tables and variables. Our Topic 9 Test will be January 19th. We will also continue to review long division which is the skill we left off with in December before our break. Homework will come home Mon.-Thur. that corresponds with the daily lesson. Somedays it may be from the workbook, other days it may be a separate sheet (all dependent upon their understanding of the daily skill). Please continue to have your child practice their multiplication fast facts! As long as they improve by 1 every Friday...then that IS progress!! Please click on the above tabs for this week's math calendar as well as an outline of the current topic.
Science- We will start the year off with the study of the Sun, Earth, and Moon Systems. Be on the look out for awesome experiments that cover the phases of the moon, tides, and shadows! As always, we will continue to add to our science notebook with each investigation. These notebooks can of course be used on quizzes and tests so accurate and detailed entries are expected! Students will also continue to spiral back to previous concepts to maintain mastery!
